Shirodhara is a deeply calming Ayurvedic therapy where a continuous, gentle stream of warm herbal oil is poured over the forehead. The word Shirodhara translates to "head bath"

​

This one hour treatment is used to quiet the mind, soothe the nervous system, and support those navigating anxiety, insomnia, overwhelm, and emotional exhaustion. It’s especially helpful for anyone feeling “stuck in their head,” disconnected from the body, or burned out by the constant demands of life.

During your session, you’ll lie comfortably while I guide you into a relaxed state and then I will begin the oil flow over your forehead. Afterward, we’ll often move into a short herbal steam (Swedana) to support integration and leave you feeling grounded and rebalanced.

Please note: Shirodhara is not a spa treatment. It is a form of therapeutic care offered with intention, presence, and Ayurvedic insight. All sessions include a brief intake so I can tailor the oil and approach to your current needs.

Basti means "bladder." In the case of basti treatments, it is the reservoir that holds medicated oils. These 45 minute treatments involve the placement of a ring made from dough over a specific area of the body, which is then filled with warm, medicated oil. The oil is held in place for a set amount of time, allowing it to deeply penetrate the tissues, soothe inflammation, improve circulation, and nourish the surrounding muscles, joints, and nerves.

These bastis are especially helpful for chronic pain, tightness, emotional heaviness stored in the body, or depletion in a specific area. Each one is tailored to your unique needs:

• Kati Basti – applied to the lower back and sacrum; helpful for lower back pain, sciatica, stiffness, and vata imbalances in the spine.

• Janu Basti – applied over the knees; supportive for knee pain, arthritis, degeneration, or swelling.

• Hṛd Basti – applied to the heart region; used to calm the emotional heart, support grief processing, anxiety, and nourish heart-centered fatigue.​

Nasya is a traditional Ayurvedic therapy that involves the application of herbalized oil into the nasal passages. Considered one of the five main purification therapies in Ayurveda, Nasya helps clear and lubricate the sinuses, balance the mind, and support the subtle energy channels connected to the head and neck.

This treatment is especially helpful for:

• Sinus congestion or allergies

• Headaches or tension in the face and jaw

• Brain fog, poor memory, or lack of focus

• Stress, anxiety, or emotional heaviness

• Dryness in the sinuses or nasal passages

Each Nasya session begins with gentle facial massage and warm steam to open the channels, followed by the carefully administered oil. The treatment not only supports respiratory and mental clarity, it also has a deeply grounding and nourishing effect on the nervous system.
